Agrenco's logistics map includes the Terlogs marine terminal controlled by Agrenco do Brasil, in the port of São Francisco do Sul. With capacity for shipments of 3,000 t/h, which is above the national average for bulk grains, Terlogs shipped 2,289 million tons in 2005 - some 1,268 million tons more than in 2004. The terminal accounted for 54% of shipment volume through the port of São Francisco do Sul last year. In November, Agrenco signed a contract with Marubeni, in which the Japanese multinational invested US$ 18.8 million in Terlogs and raised its holding in the terminal to 25.5%.
The purpose of Terlogs is to facilitate and expand bulk shipments through the port of São Francisco do Sul by providing competitive, safe, innovative, and commercially viable facilities, services, and technologies. These activities in all cases prioritize customer service while continuously improving operational processes and technological progress.
The Terlogs terminal uses latest-generation control technologies and storage facilities that can ensure product segregation. Total storage capacity is 140,000 tons in 5 vertical silos with individual capacity of 6,000 tons; horizontal store for grains and bran with 75,000 tons capacity; and horizontal store for fertilizers with capacity of 35,000 tons. Reception flow is 1,500 tons per hour, with 500 tons per hour for road hoppers and 1,000 tons per hour on the rail hoppers.
